Casa Nuevo Santiago is a place to
experience the grace of God in Havana.
— AMA Cuba

Casa Nuevo Santiago is a house church and ministry center in the Cojimar neighborhood of Havana.

Cojimar is a fishing village in Havana and the setting of Ernest Hemingway's novel, Old Man in the Sea. It was from this neighborhood that his protagonist Santiago set out every morning in a small boat in hopes of a big catch. And it was here in Cojimar where Santiago returned with an apple-cored marlin and a defeated dream. As such, Hemingway is revered in this neighborhood and tourist-laden buses make frequent stops outside the Terraza where Hemingway used to eat and admire the harbor. Today, fishermen still leave the harbor in small boats as their livelihood, hoping to bring something back for their families.

We hope Casa Nuevo Santiago will be a place where residents of Cojimar will find true hope in Jesus Christ.

Nuevo Santiago will be the home base of AMA Cuba operations. It will host worship services, Bible studies, and pastoral training seminars. It will lodge mission teams and seminary training classes.
